Whether a state can be coasted analytically from here, and if so from what.
Four conditions, and each names a term the integrator would otherwise have to supply. No control input, because thrust is the one acceleration a conic does not include. No spin under flight assist, because the assist is a torque; a spin with the assist off is a constant, and the coast carries it. A periapsis above the ground band, because below it the air and the ground are terms too — and a state that is currently inside the band has a periapsis inside it, so the one test covers "not in air now" as well. And the entity in the binding's own frame, so the conic is about the attractor that is actually pulling.
Deep space qualifies unconditionally: with no attractor the conic is a line.
