The angle from apoapsis at which the conic passes radius, on the way down.
The inverse of arcRadius over the descending half: [0, π]. A radius
outside [periapsis, apoapsis] is clamped, so a caller stepping a height
schedule never receives NaN from a rounding error at either end.
