SEARCH_BATCH

const SEARCH_BATCH: 32

How many systems one search job walks.

The number decides how often the list grows, and both ends of the range are bad. Too large and a fifty-light-year sweep is a handful of jobs, so rows arrive in three lumps and the last worker holds the whole answer; too small and the queue is thousands of jobs whose per-job overhead — a structured clone of the batch each way — is a real share of the work. Thirty-two systems is about a quarter-second of generating, which is close enough to a frame's worth of new rows to read as filling in.
