Perlin gradient noise in roughly [-1, 1], with its analytic gradient.
The eight corner dot products give the value the ordinary way; the eight corner gradients, interpolated with the same weights, give the part of the derivative that comes from the gradients themselves, and the fade curve's slope gives the part that comes from the interpolation. Adding them is the whole derivation.
