What the engines are commanded to produce this tick, in body axes: the
linear acceleration in m/s² and the angular one in rad/s², the assist's
damping torque included, with the thrusters' and the drive's shares of the
linear kept apart as resolveThrust hands them over.
One function, read by both integrators and by the snapshot's thrustDemand,
so the nozzles a frame draws firing are the ones the tick fired. Two copies
of the assist condition — one in the physics, one in the picture — would
agree until the day one of them was edited, and a plume that lit while the
hull did not turn is a bug nobody can measure from a screenshot.
The assist is a torque added to the commanded one, not a replacement for it, and it applies only while no rotation is being asked for: a pilot holding pitch has already said what the angular velocity should be.
